Bringing you what we call that "GROWN FOLK CRANK" to a Go-Go or party near you, A Level Up Band is sure to impress and please everyone who experiences their unique sound. A Level Up Band was founded in August of 2020 by Aaron Bennett and Randy Stewart. We wanted to add some serious "CRANK" to the Grown & Sexy genre and we felt like it should not be hard to do. We also set out to connect with our fans in a way that most bands do not. Led by Aaron Bennett, also known as Black, A Level Up strives to emulate that "Big Band" sound that's similar to the way marching bands arrange their music with some of the swing of a Cotton Club ensemble from the 1920 era. Our Backline combination of Litoe on drums, JC on congos, Carri on toms/blocks gives us a force to be reckoned with
in the Go-Go genre. Our Front Line consist of Aaron Bennett also known as Black, Randy Stewart, the dynamic, multi- dimensional Lyric Bravado,Terry Battle, which is also our frontline. Christopher Hamilton and Quillo Harley are our keyboard players. Clive Baker is on lead guitar and David Martin plays the bass guitar. We have a band full of natural and professional musicians. Our very first show was at B&G Tavern in Accokeek, Maryland. Our following show was Sandovans in Northwest Washington, D.C. We took on a small stint at Lounge 66 in Waldorf opening for Sirius Company featuring Kim and Scooby and eventually became their house band. Needless to say, we came out of the starting block making an income, and very few bands can say that. We also performed at The Crudfest Sponsored by The Cruddy Crankerz, Lady Moet Beast and D.C. Ty. Nectars Lounge in Alexandria, was our first showing in Virginia. Soon after, we established a relationship with The College Park American Legion Post 217, thanks to Samuel Gamble.
We believe that building relationships and good music is essential to our success and because of this, we would like to build a constant relationship with our fans. We are settled on creating our own lanes, but it definitely don't mean that we are not open to working with others bands and promotors as long as the relationships are organic, true, and beneficial to both sides. We are easy to work with. To all of our fans and supporters, we love and appreciate you very much and if you see us promoting a show in your area, please make it out and party with us. We will party with you in return.
